SAFOAM® is an endothermic chemical nucleating and blowing agent for the creation of fine foam structures in thermoplastic injection molding and extrusion applications. SAFOAM® masterbatches for olefins use our SAFOAM® and special olefinic surfactants and carrier resins, which improve melt tension and melt flow. They are commonly used in injection molding for the creation of structural foam composites and weight reduction. In extrusion operations, it is used for the creation of very fine cells in medium density extrudate. All SAFOAM® powders are microencapsulated with special surfactants, which result in:

- Slowed moisture absorption and diffusion rate
- Extended CO2 shelf life
- Excellent dispersion
